Since IT’S BEATTIYA launched the new BrightClear C Exosome Ampoule in July 2026, many friends have WhatsApp-ed me: “Derrick, I’m already using the C Powder. Do I still need this ampoule? Both have vitamin C, so what’s the difference?”
Good question. Both contain vitamin C, but one is a powder and the other is a concentrated ampoule. The type of vitamin C, the supporting ingredients, how you apply them and how you store them are all different. Let me explain it simply.
Why does vitamin C come in so many forms?
The reason is simple: vitamin C doesn’t like water, light or air. Pure vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) oxidises easily when it meets these three, turning yellow and losing its effect.
To keep it more stable, skincare products usually take one of two routes:
- Make it a powder: keep it dry, and let it touch water only when it meets your skin. This is the C Powder’s route.
- Use a more stable derivative in a liquid: a slightly “modified” vitamin C can go into a serum and is easy to apply. This is the BrightClear C Exosome Ampoule’s route.
So neither one is “more premium”. They are two ways to solve the same problem: vitamin C is unstable. To understand what vitamin C itself can and can’t do, read Vitamin C Skincare: What It Does, How to Choose first.
Rejuvenating C Powder vs BrightClear C Exosome Ampoule: side by side
| Rejuvenating C Powder | BrightClear C Exosome Ampoule | |
|---|---|---|
| Form | Powder that slowly melts when it meets the moisture on your skin | Concentrated serum with a dropper |
| Size | Two sizes: small and large | One box of 2 bottles, 20ml each |
| Key ingredients | Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate and tranexamic acid, plus sodium lactate and hyaluronic acid for moisture | Ethyl ascorbic acid, brightening dipeptide and carnosine, plus a triple ceramide complex and other moisturising ingredients |
| Where it goes in your routine | Morning and night, after the purple bottle and before the No.3 eye cream | Morning and night, after the No.2 Clear Balancing Lotion |
| How it feels | Light; you can apply a bit more on areas you care about | Spreads and absorbs easily, so the whole face gets an even layer |
| Storage | Hands must be completely dry; close the lid right after use; don’t keep it in the bathroom | Keep away from light in a cool place; finish it soon after opening |
| Best for | People who want extra care for uneven tone or dull patches in certain areas | People who want to care for the whole face and add moisture at the same time |
Both use brightening ingredients on Taiwan’s official approved list
IT’S BEATTIYA is a Taiwan brand. In Taiwan, a skincare product can only claim “whitening” if it uses a brightening ingredient approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, at the permitted concentration. The magnesium ascorbyl phosphate and tranexamic acid in the C Powder, and the ethyl ascorbic acid (3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid) in the ampoule, are all on this list. They help inhibit melanin formation.
The ampoule’s brightening dipeptide and carnosine help improve dullness so skin tone looks more even. It also contains milk exosomes.
Can you use the C Powder and the BrightClear C Exosome Ampoule together?
Yes. They use different forms of vitamin C with different supporting ingredients: apply the ampoule evenly over the whole face for overall care and moisture, and use the C Powder for extra care on areas you’re concerned about. One looks after the whole face, the other the focus areas. They don’t clash.
The order to apply
- Wash your face with the No.1 Gentle Complete Cleanser
- No.2 Clear Balancing Lotion
- BrightClear C Exosome Ampoule: take a suitable amount and gently spread it evenly over your face
- Your other serums and creams (as in your usual routine)
- Purple bottle facial oil
- C Powder: with dry hands, take enough and spread evenly over your face
- No.3 eye cream
- In the morning, always finish with 6A or 6B sunscreen

Trying both for the first time? Don’t add them on the same day
If both are new to you, start with one, use it for about two weeks, and add the second only if your skin is comfortable. If you change too many things at once and your skin turns red or itchy, you won’t know which one caused it.
Always use sunscreen in the morning
The sun is strong all year round in Malaysia and Singapore. Vitamin C helps your skin tone look more even, but if you go out in the sun without sunscreen, you are undoing the work at the same time.
Skin suddenly acting up? How to adjust your routine
Every product in the IT’S BEATTIYA Skin Revitalizing Collection has moisturising, soothing and protective ingredients besides its main job. So instead of “whitening range” or “oil-control range”, we use the collection together and adjust the amount based on each person’s skin.
With today’s lifestyle (eating out, sweet drinks, fried food), skin rarely has just one concern. People with pimples often have pimple marks too; people worried about dark spots may also feel dry.
A common example: you have an important dinner in two days, and your face is slightly red. Here’s what you can do:
- Focus on moisture: add an extra layer of moisturiser, or use a hydrating mask.
- Pause renewal and brightening products for now: stop products like the C Powder and the ampoule for a few days, and restart when your skin settles.
- Don’t increase the amount on your own: for targeted products, follow your beauty consultant’s advice. More is not faster.
If the redness doesn’t go away, or you get swelling, itching or stinging, stop all new products and see a dermatologist.
- BrightClear C Exosome Ampoule (launched July 2026): ethyl ascorbic acid (a brightening ingredient) plus brightening dipeptide and carnosine, with a triple ceramide complex (NP, AP, EOP) and other moisturising ingredients. One box of 2 bottles, 20ml each. Morning and night after the No.2, gently spread a suitable amount over your face.
- Rejuvenating C Powder: two brightening ingredients, magnesium ascorbyl phosphate and tranexamic acid, plus sodium lactate and hyaluronic acid for moisture. Use morning and night after the purple bottle; hands must be dry, and close the lid right after use.
- 6A Multi-Effect Brightening Protection Cream: if you use vitamin C, always pair it with sunscreen in the morning.
Products aren’t a must. Choose based on your own skin; if you’re not sure, ask me first.
Conclusion: choose based on your own skin first
The C Powder and the BrightClear C Exosome Ampoule don’t replace each other. The difference is in the form, the ingredients and how you use them. First think about what you care about most right now (overall skin tone, certain dull areas, or dryness), then decide which one to start with.
Sunscreen and enough time matter more than applying many products at once.
FAQ
Q: Can I mix the C Powder into my toner or the ampoule first?
Follow the product instructions. The C Powder is a powder precisely so it doesn’t meet water too early. If you want to mix, mix only the amount for one use in your palm and apply it right away. Don’t pour them together into one bottle.
Q: It tingles a little when I apply it. Is that normal?
A few people feel a slight tingle at first that goes away within seconds; you can watch how your skin responds. If it keeps stinging, turns red or itches, stop using it; if it doesn’t improve, see a dermatologist.
Q: How long before I see a difference?
Skincare usually needs 8 to 12 weeks of regular use before you judge it, and everyone’s experience is different.
Q: Which one suits sensitive skin?
Test a small area behind your ear or on your jaw for a few days first, and only use it on the whole face if there is no redness, itching or swelling. Add one product at a time, and pause when your skin is red or peeling.
